Have you never been worried about what will happen worst today with your girlfriend? That you are about to deal on what only good will happen today and worry about all the things that are behind for tomorrow.
You just wanna let her feel that today will be the best day ever and the only way to do that is to leave all things that holds that day to be the best day ever. Worrying often about all the things to worry will only close the door of what good could happen to you. So, you have to leave your trash from yesterday, just clean that up tomorrow so that you can live your life today.
Let's do it all today and worry about it all tomorrow. You said to your girlfriend that you have to live this day fully as it could be. And that you have to live one day at a time, especially if you are now living with the one who will matter over that day. You could only live once for a day, and you can't go back on it if you ever passed it and took it for granted.
