Have you ever thought of impressing God because you just want to give back all the favorable circumstances and answered prayers by doing such good deeds in an Earthly manner? You wouldn't intend to do it in an Earthly manner but that is the only way you know on how you can give back and reach out of what has been, you think, God has reached out for you. Okay you give and share all the synthetic things or knowledge you earned for yourself but could you realize if that was really what impresses God?
What impresses God is when you don't try to impress God. Okay, we know that God knows everything and you can't impress him like a mortal person and just pretend to be like this or that because He is just omniscient and omnipresent by the way things happen and presented.
God is like us in terms of emotion, the capability to love and hate, in the highest order and He knows all the reasons to do so. So in God feels like a human being, He can see, let's say, a particular person doing things in terms of faith because this person believed to the promise of God that was revealed through the bible and in that way, by showing off his faith to his creator not by religion-based rituals but on how his faith has grown in years of suffering of why (asking God) things happened.
We learn that it is not how you see you, but how God sees you that matters. We know that we have this kind of moment wherein our actions was caught untimely or maliciously in the eyes of other people and we know that we didn't intend to do it at that time so we plead not guilty and say that it's not what you think but that won't change the minds of other people.
God knows all of it, if you ever realize at that moment that you have your witness that can testify in the highest order to keep your own conscience and not try to manipulate the situation of what it was not. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Humble yourself before God. As a human being, we have this moment that sometimes we are being complacent about the achievements we have for ourselves that we forget about thanking God for all of the little steps you take everyday just to achieve that particular kind of achievement for yourself.
Or in other cases, you do things for one common goal then you think of thanking God if you ever reach that goal in the particular day of completion. Humility in God in a regular basis, not only in the time that you have done something wrong but also in the good times that He let all of those positive things went on your way. It's not all possible without God. God Bless!
